The Future Leaders’ Days 2025 is a two-day conference that brings together students, young professionals and experienced professionals from the pharmaceutical industry. With numerous opportunities for networking, the event offers a platform for inspiring presentations, interactive discussions and the exchange of knowledge and experience. The conference is organized by the ISPE D/A/CH Emerging Leaders. Special thanks go to our sponsors, without whom this event would not be possible in this form.

Workshops

Workshop 1Data-Driven Engineering: Using Simulation to Make Better Decisions (presented by ZETA)

Workshop Hosts:

  • Raffael Koller, Simulation & Process Engineer
  • Moritz Unterberger, Simulation Engineer

This workshop will explore how simulations are used in engineering projects to optimize processes and make informed decisions – even under tight deadlines. We look at two case studies: one comparing single-use and stainless steel systems and one evaluating buffer concepts such as in-line dilution, in-line conditioning and traditional approaches. Participants work with simulation data and tools to make informed decisions in these scenarios. At the end, we compare the participants’ decisions with real results and discuss how simulations promote practical and effective solutions in engineering.

Workshop 2 – Building the Score: A Hands-On Eco-Design Workshop (presented by Elio Earth)

Workshop Hosts:

  • Kami Krista, CEO & Co-Founder
  • Kamil Mroczek, CTO & Co-Founder

How can sustainability be anchored in process decisions – and where are the inherent limits? In this interactive workshop, participants take on the role of sustainability method designers and develop their own assessment approach to differentiate the impacts of everyday laboratory products. By defining criteria, weighing up conflicting objectives and dealing with incomplete data, participants discover both the strengths and weaknesses of evaluation methods. The exercise does not aim to create a perfect assessment, but allows you to directly understand the decisions and assumptions that go into ecodesign decision tools. Participants leave with a deeper understanding of how sustainability can be embedded in process design – and where critical reflection remains essential.

Workshop 3 – World Café & Networking (presented by ISPE Women in Pharma™)

This workshop serves as an interactive networking session, stimulated by key questions prepared and moderated by the ISPE Women in Pharma™ working group. In this session you will meet new people, discuss personal and business topics and perhaps even make new friends – all in just 90 minutes.
