Industry meets WiP sponsored by Rockwell Automation
Decision-Making Under Uncertainty
Adapt. Align. Act.
In complex, highly regulated and technology‑driven environments, decisions are increasingly made with incomplete data, time pressure and competing priorities
The Industry meets WiP sponsored by Rockwell explores how individuals and leaders can improve decision quality under uncertainty – even when clarity is limited and stakes are high.
We will look at common decision traps, the role of human judgment in AI‑supported environments, and practical strategies to move from reactive choices to more deliberate, sustainable decisions.
Pharma MES Workshop
Our host Rockwell Automation invites participants to a hands-on Pharma MES Workshop using PharmaSuite. This interactive session combines concise presentations with practical exercises, giving participants the opportunity to design and execute their own digital process.
Key elements include recipe design, electronic batch records, exception handling, as well as weigh & dispense and label printing functionalities.
The workshop is designed to provide a realistic insight into how MES solutions support pharmaceutical manufacturing — from structured setup to execution on the shop floor.
Participants will not only gain a better understanding of PharmaSuite in practice but will also have the opportunity to create their own outcome to take away.

The Human Edge
AI is already on the production floor and in the operational and leadership teams, reshaping where decisions
are made, who makes them, and what good judgment actually looks like.
This talk cuts through the noise to give pharma professionals at every level a grounded, practical perspective on leading and deciding in an AI-supported world. The focus is not on having perfect information, it is on making better choices in imperfect conditions.
ADAPT – Understand the two AI realities running in parallel inside pharma today; production/automation
(predictive maintenance, real-time quality control, process optimization, etc.) and operational/leadership
decision support and where human judgment is being relocated, not removed.
decision support and where human judgment is being relocated, not removed.
ALIGN – Recognize the real decision traps that emerge in AI-assisted environments, automation bias,
anchoring, and confirmation bias and learn how to remain the accountable, critical thinker your
organization needs, even when the machine is confident.
ACT – Walk away with practical and clear personal framework for making better decisions every day
applicable to the production team, the project office, and the leadership table alike. No data science
background required.

Uncertainty Is Not the Enemy – Silence Is
In times of rapid change, the greatest risk is often hesitation rather than a wrong decision. This presentation reflects on how leaders and teams can stay proactive instead of reactive, make decisions with courage, and learn quickly when outcomes are unclear.
Topics include psychological safety, conflict competence, confirmation bias, the role of reflection time, and the smart use of AI as a support—not a substitute—for human judgment. At its core, the talk is about trust, empathy, and creating a culture where people feel protected to act, learn, and grow.

Influencing Change & Leading without Authority – Strategy Execution
How can one lead without authority?
How can one influence and inform decisions?
How can one drive change?
This keynote explores how we solve problems, learn and succeed and what that means for decision making, strategy execution and success, especially in complex & unpredictable situations.
The best strategy fails if it cannot be executed. You need to commit to building something that creates the conditions for change. Without that, execution gets stuck in “the mud”.
Successful strategy execution that achieves outcomes depends largely on creating true alignment. This requires self-awareness, shared understanding and trust and a curiosity to discover blind spots and explore hidden areas.
Process and checklists are often useful tools to structure certain deliverables, but only culture and capability build the shared understanding and trust that is needed for strategies to get executed at all levels of an organization.
In most business & technology contexts, success depends on how effectively we expand shared understanding. This means: Continuously reduce the unknown, surface hidden risks and uncover blind spots.
