In September, the 2-day SIG Future Robotics Workshop took place in Bruchsal. The first workshop day started with the welcome of the patrons of the event – Richard Denk from SKAN AG and Charly Coulon from Invite GmbH. The event continued with presentations and case studies from ESSERT Robotics and ROCHE. Afterwards, the 60 participants were able todivide into 7workgroups to develop and present initiatives on the topic of “Aseptic Manufacturing of the Future” in a workstream, as well as to present automation approaches for aseptic high-performance filling lines.
In addition to the presentations, the first day of the workshop included a factory tour at the hosts Essert Robotics, who gave the workshop participants the opportunity to experience a fully automated medical device application with robots and movers live. The day was concluded with a tour of Heidelberg Castle and a joint dinner. Here, the experiences and insights of the workshop day could be exchanged in a cozy atmosphere.
The second workshop day started with the presentation of the coveted RAYA – Robotics Applications of the year Award- 2023 and the presentation of a case study about the implementation of an excellent robotics application from last year. The day was rounded off with further exciting presentations by SKAN and Stäubli in the afternoon.
The positive feedback and interest from participants and award winners has been overwhelming, so much so that SIG Future Robotics is already working on follow-up events. The organizers would like to thank all participants and especially the hosts ESSERT Robotics for this successful event. Impressions of the event can be found here:
