Meet the speakers
Toni Manzano is a co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Aizon, with over two decades of experience leading software projects for international pharma companies in manufacturing and supply chain.
An astrophysicist by training, Toni is also an expert in Quality and Artificial Intelligence within the pharmaceutical industry and teaches at several universities. He is an avid scientific writer and holds a dozen international patents. Additionally, Toni serves a PDA Regulatory Affairs & Quality Advisory Board member, and actively collaborates on the AI initiative in the UN.
Joeri van Wijngaarden is a senior AI consultant at Aizon’s consulting branch, working directly with Aizon’s clients to solve their business problems. Joeri is an active researcher in Life Sciences with a particular interest in artificial and biological intelligence.
He holds a doctorate in Neuroscience and advocates the adoption of AI/ML technologies in Biopharma to improve the efficiency and quality of drug manufacturing.
Andreas Schumacher has been working at VTU since January 2022 and is a leading expert when it comes to corporate strategies, digitalization and their implementation. Andreas has extensive experience in Consulting, Research and Innovation. As a strategy Director he leads the development, execution and monitoring of the corporate VTU strategy. In his role as Director Digitalization (CDO) he defines a holistic digital strategy and leads the execution of operational digitalization initiatives. He bases his knowledge on a PhD in the area of Digitalization of Value Creation. He published scientifically for several years and consulted companies of different sizes and industries. Andreas always drives his work from a human centered perspective which puts people in the forefront to achieve lasting results.
Luiza Mukaeda is the Senior Director of Product Management at Aizon,
a role she assumed after extensive experience as a pharma manufacturing expert.
Luiza holds a bachelor’s
degree in Chemical Engineering by the University of São Paulo and an MBA from
Heriot-Watt University in Scotland. She has served as a Technical Project
Manager at MSD, an Engineering Manager at Novartis, and a Field Service Manager
at Schlumberger, in addition to various roles in the Oil & Gas industry.
Magda Sztandarska is a Data Science Manager, passionate about solving complex (and simple) problems through data-driven solutions.
She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and has further enriched her knowledge with postgraduate studies in Deep Learning and Advanced Management. At Aizon, Magda has collaborated on over 10 projects to improve manufacturing processes and has contributed to implementation of model management capabilities in the Aizon platform.
Yudan Lin is an experienced Data Science Associate Director, with over a decade of experience in Data Science and AI, spanning various industries. She spearheaded transformative initiatives that grew from prototype to global programs and the establishment of innovative collaboration with a focus on corporate technology and social responsibility. With a strong background in agile program management and innovation strategies, Yudan has played a pivotal role in fostering partnerships and building connections within cross-industry networks, educational institutions, and digital communities. Her leadership philosophy centres on empowering teams to embrace trustworthy AI technologies and thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Beyond her professional endeavours, Yudan is deeply passionate about democratizing AI and sharing her knowledge through podcasting and keynote speaking engagements. She is a citizen of the world, living in Vienna – Austria and having roots in Paris – France and Shanghai – China. She invites audiences to join her in exploring the possibilities of AI and its impact on various industries, ethics and privacy, all while connecting over a shared love for technology and innovation.
