The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering is the world’s largest non-profit organization in the pharmaceutical industry. ISPE has been promoting the exchange of knowledge and further development in pharmaceutical research and production since 1980.

In close cooperation and open exchange with regulatory authorities, we guide and accelerate the development of innovative processes and technical solutions, creating the production of tomorrow. ISPE’s guides and manuals are globally recognized.

As the largest non-profit in the pharmaceutical sector, we are also committed to inclusion and diversity.
ISPE promotes women and men in the pharmaceutical industry by promoting an active exchange about Diversity and Inclusion in our Women in Pharma initiative. Women in Pharma is a global network with a diverse range of events and activities.

What is ISPE D/A/CH?

ISPE D/A/CH is the German-speaking section of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, the largest global non-profit organization in the pharmaceutical industry.

ISPE D/A/CH has over 1,400 members in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Members come from all areas of pharmaceutical production, plant construction, engineering, consulting, universities and authorities.

We have the answers! Below you will find the most frequently asked questions about membership of ISPE D/A/CH. If your question could not be answered, please contact us directly.

No, as a member of ISPE you are not automatically a member of D/A/CH Affiliate. To become a member of the D/A/CH Affiliate, this must also be entered in your profile with the ISPE. Registration is simple.

  1. Go to the ISPE website.
  2. Log in to your profile via the “Login” function at the top right.
  3. Click on “Welcome your name” at the top right and then “My Account”. Your personal membership overview page will appear.
  4. Under “Profile” > “Professional Information” select “Germany/Austria/Switzerland Affiliate” as Affiliate / Chapter.
  5. Then click on “Save” to save.
You will now receive all the information specific to your affiliate.

Active involvement is welcomed and encouraged in many ways. There are various ways to become actively involved in the ISPE D/A/CH (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering):

  1. Participation in working groups
    Join one of the topic-specific working groups that focus on areas such as Pharma 4.0, Aseptic Processing, Sustainability or Future Robotics. These groups offer the opportunity to participate in workshops, develop best practices and work out solutions for industry-specific challenges.
  2. Emerging Leaders and Student Chapters
    Young professionals can get involved with the Emerging Leaders and benefit from networking events, conferences and workshops. Students can get involved in university groups such as the Student Chapter Karlsruhe and develop their skills.

  3. Events
    Take part in specialist conferences, workshops and networking events to make contacts and exchange knowledge.

  4. Knowledge exchange and publications
    Use the ISPE platform (ISPE Engage Forum) to exchange knowledge and experience and to access industry-specific guidelines and documents.

Through these diverse opportunities, you can actively contribute to the further development of the pharmaceutical industry and at the same time expand your own network and knowledge.

Yes, there are special membership models for students and young professionals (Emerging Leaders).

As ISPE D/A/CH, we provide special support for students. We will cover the costs of membership for the duration of your studies. You can find more information on this under “Students”.
