26. – November 27, 2013, Mannheim. The 6th of this successful and respected conference series will take place this year at the Dorint-Kongresshotel in Mannheim. It is jointly supported by the four organizations APV, Concept Heidelberg, ISPE-D/A/CH and VDI/VDE-GMA.
The current challenges in the pharmaceutical industry are manifold and will lead in the medium and long term to changes in working methods in design, production, laboratory and quality management. In many places, new or modified procedures and ways of working are being discussed in order to modernize processes or make them more efficient. In addition, new technologies are visibly maturing and becoming suitable for use in the pharmaceutical industry.
In terms of computer systems, we would therefore like to discuss three main areas this year.
The first key topic to be discussed will be the challenges arising from new technologies, such as cloud computing or mobile IT devices.
The second focus topic will immediately follow and will address the increasing use of new software development methods for applications in the pharmaceutical sector and present findings that have been gained in such projects.
These two key topics will each be discussed in open plenary discussion sessions with the presenters.
The third focus topic will turn to risk management, which remains topical, but will not be devoted to risk analysis procedures; rather, it will focus on the treatment and monitoring of risks and the control of risk management.
Four parallel discussion sessions, offered twice in succession, will be available for participants to delve deeper into the topics of interfaces, automation and efficient validation, raw data definition, and IT operations and cloud.
This in turn results in a kaleidoscope of interesting topics, which allows each participant to individually design his or her conference program.
