The requirements for the production of pharmaceuticals are high. On the one hand, pharmaceutical companies have to comply with strict purity requirements. Secondly, they should document all processes in detail. The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) is a non-profit organization with approximately 20,000 members worldwide that combines professional proximity to pharmaceutical manufacturing, production techniques and standards, and regulations.

ISPE has several active offices in Europe and is the most globally represented professional organization in the pharmaceutical industry worldwide. ISPE sees many opportunities on a pan-European level and would like to play a more significant role in bringing together industry, regulatory authorities and suppliers across Europe, among others, to share knowledge and drive innovation, as there is a high demand for knowledge exchange (…).

Our guidance documents are internationally recognized and are continuously developed by our volunteer experts.

Become a part of our working groups and create the solutions our patients need together with experts from the pharmaceutical industry. We offer volunteers versatile opportunities to get involved, expand their knowledge and share it. Our working groups focus on Aseptic Processing, Containment, Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP), HVAC and Sustainable Facilities, Pharma 4.0, Water and Steam, Project Management and Future Robotics.
Be part of a global network
With over 18,000 members in more than 90 countries, ISPE is the largest not-for-profit organization in the pharmaceutical field. Become a part of our global network, get involved in the local D/A/CH organization, become a member of a working group or get involved with the Emerging Leaders and the Women in Pharma Initiative. Cooperation with regulatory authorities
ISPE strives to provide industry-wide clarity on new regulations, their impact and possible solutions in order to bring about harmonization – where desired and possible. Our broad-based project teams work on topics such as Pharma 4.0, Drug Shortages, Advancing Pharmaceutical Quality and Quality Culture.
