for outstanding achievements

For outstanding achievements and work in the field of pharmaceutical technologies, the ISPE D/A/CH awards up to 5 endowed study prizes to students and doctoral candidates each year. You will find the tender details and application procedure below.

Registration deadline is May 31!

In addition to the prize money (1,000 euros) and publication, the award includes a free one-year membership of ISPE and a personal invitation for the award winner (with supervising teacher!) to an ISPE D/A/CH annual event (travel expenses for the award winner and supervising teacher will be borne by ISPE).

Tender for the ISPE D/A/CH Study prizes

the criteria

The ISPE D/A/CH awards prizes to students and doctoral candidates for outstanding achievements and work in the field of pharmaceutical technologies.

The ISPE D/A/CH awards this prize for particularly practice-oriented, innovative theses with very good results in the final semesters. A total of six students from Bachelor’s/Master’s degree courses or diploma subjects in Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemical Process Engineering/Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at scientific universities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be honored.

The ISPE D/A/CH – Study Award
The prize for each winner is endowed with €1,000.

In addition, the prize includes a certificate, one year’s free ISPE D/A/CH membership and an invitation to attend the ISPE D/A/CH annual meeting, including a social evening.
The submitting professors of the award winners are also invited to the annual meeting.

The ISPE D/A/CH will cover the travel costs for the prizewinner and accompanying teacher.

Proposer
All university lecturers in the fields of pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, chemical and bioengineering and other related fields are eligible to nominate candidates. Interested students are asked to get in touch with their teachers.

Selection criteria
The criteria for the evaluation of the submitted works are:

  • Innovation content
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Practical relevance
  • Practical feasibility

Price Committee
The ISPE D/A/CH Committee (Board) decides on the awarding of the ISPE D/A/CH study prizes.

The 1st Biotech Symposium @KIT – Experiencing research first hand

The ISPE Student Chapter Karlsruhe established a novel event format with the 1st Virtual Biotech Symposium @KIT on 11.05.2021, where more than 130 students, PhD students and interested people were able to get to know current science and research in the field of pharma & biotech. 13 speakers from different disciplines presented their exciting and inspiring projects within the three sessions separation technology, printing technologies and digitization. In subsequent panel discussions, current and future trends were discussed and a holistic classification of the research projects was ventured in the context of the many challenges and opportunities that the biotech industry will have to face in the coming years.
