Sustainability in the pharmaceutical industry: establishment of an expert group for green innovations and future-proof solutions
Today, the pharmaceutical industry faces a multitude of challenges when it comes to sustainability. In order to minimize the environmental footprint and at the same time assume social responsibility, ISPE DACH has launched a new expert group that focuses on sustainable production, resource conservation and environmentally friendly innovations in the pharmaceutical industry. The Special Interest Group (SIG) Sustainability brings together experts from the industry to develop solutions and promote the exchange of knowledge in order to establish sustainable practices.
The expert group for sustainability: professional exchange and practice-oriented solutions
Our new interest group has a clear focus on professional exchange and the development of solutions that promote sustainability in the pharmaceutical industry. The topic of sustainability is a broad field, ranging from technical solutions to regulatory requirements. In our group, we discuss how we can effectively integrate sustainable practices into pharmaceutical production – taking into account the specific requirements and challenges of the industry’s highly regulated environment.

Objective and focus of the interest group
Our group focuses on the exchange of expertise and the development of concrete solutions for a more sustainable pharmaceutical industry.
